✨ TOP 5 outings ✨ in the UK with a educational and literary twist.

1. Stratford-upon-Avon:

The birthplace of William Shakespeare, where you can explore his childhood home and enjoy a live play.

2. The Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre, Great Missenden:

If you love Roald Dahl as much as I do, this place is a dream! It was a personal favourite during my time teaching at Caldicott Prep and I ran quite a few school trips to this little gem!

3.Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, London:

Have a stroll along the Southbank and enjoy a play at the Globe Theatre while the weather is still mild. Will you be brave enough to join the 'groundlings' in 'the pit'? (I will admit I never have been)

4. The Beatrix Potter Experience, Lake District:

Get lost in the landscapes that inspired Beatrix Potter's enchanting tales of Peter Rabbit and his pals. Don't miss her former home!

5. The Story Museum, Oxford:

I have to admit, this is one of my absolute favourite places for kids. It's interactive, full of fantastic exhibits, and hosts amazing events!

While these are my top 5, there are so many more fantastic places out there. How can I not mention a Harry Potter tour at Warner Brothers (although it is £££) or a visit to Ashdown Forest, the home of Winnie the Pooh?
